This is the Bald Eagle Bilfred located at the Peace River Wildlife Center in Punta Gorda, Fl. Bilfred was injured as a young eagle when he was found at the dump. Bilfred had a damaged and broken wing and it was days before she was found and unfortunately infection had set in requiring removal of the entire left wing. She has been at the center since 1996. The photos of Bilfred where taken from outside the cage and you can see the faint lines of shadow from the wire mesh for which I decided to leave to depict their captivity.
